Montreuil, <strong>The</strong> Town<br />
Overlooking the valley of the River Canche and beyond, the beautiful walled town of<br />
Montreuil-sur-Mer inspired Victor Hugo to situate the first part of his celebrated novel<br />
Les Misérables here. With its 3km of battlements, its cobbled streets, historic buildings<br />
