continues to provide installers with the theoretical and practical knowledge required to service the field with confidence.<br />

Registered Training Organisation Accredited Courses<br />

The <strong>Matchmaster</strong> Training Programs have been developed based on the requirements of the National Vocational Education<br />

and Training Regulator (NVR). This requires training to be delivered under the competency based methodology and will<br />

therefore ensure the knowledge and skills are assessed to a high standard. <strong>Matchmaster</strong> in conjunction with its Registered<br />

Training Organisation partner, Skills Connect Australia (a division of the Electrical & Communications Association), delivers<br />

Certificate II and III in Digital Reception Technology. <strong>Matchmaster</strong> offers the core technology competencies for digital<br />

terrestrial reception covering terrestrial and satellite platforms, through the digital TV reception training programs. Skills<br />

Connect Australia will then deliver the balance of competencies to enable the learner to achieve a CERTIFICATE III in<br />

Digital Reception Technology, which then enables the student to gain their formal trade certificate on successful completion<br />

of the units. Qualifications are nationally recognised throughout Australia under the (NVR) National Vocational Education<br />

& Training Regulator.<br />

Overview of course content<br />

Certificate III in Digital Reception Technology<br />

(TRAIN-CERT3DRT)<br />

Certificate III in Digital Reception Technology is a Government funded grant, available to approved students. On<br />

completion of this course (DTRI, SDRS, CDRS and two online units) students will be provided with a recognised<br />

formal trade certificate.<br />

Digital Terrestrial Reception Systems<br />

(TRAIN-DTRI)<br />

Embark on your learning path in television reception systems<br />

with our two day course. The program offers competencies<br />

of the Certificate II and III, including selection and installation<br />

of terrestrial antennas, managing and installing coaxial cable<br />

and designing simple domestic distribution systems.<br />

The module covers installation of digital television receiving<br />

equipment such as decoders and PVR’s, and involves a<br />

combination of practical exercises to ensure you learn the<br />

skills required to progress through the Antenna Installers<br />

Endorsement Scheme assessment.<br />

Competencies to be delivered are:<br />

Install a terrestrial antenna (ICTRFN2164A)<br />

Install and terminate coaxial cable (ICTCBL3011A)<br />

Install digital reception equipment (ICTDRE3156A)<br />

Train customers (ICTEDU3053A)<br />

Conduct radio frequency measurement (ICTRFN4095A)<br />
