About the Artists
Amy Sze - Pianist
Amy Sze receives her Bachelor's degree from The Hong Kong Academy for
Performing Arts with first class honours, and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in
Piano Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. She has received
numerous scholarships, including the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund Scholarship and
the Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund Overseas Scholarship. Her teachers include
Chui-Fun Poon, Gabriel Kwok and Nelita True. Winner of the Eastman Concerto
Competition and Finalist of the MTNA Steinway Competition, Sze has performed as a
soloist with many orchestras including Texas Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra, Eastman
Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
She is particularly active in chamber music and keen on promoting new music. She
appears frequently on RTHK Radio 4 in recitals and has been featured in such festivals
as Le French May and ISCM World Music Days. Amy Sze is currently on the faculty of
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Baptist University of Hong Kong.
施 敏 倫 以 一 級 榮 譽 畢 業 於 香 港 演 藝 學 院 音 樂 學 士 學 位 課 程 , 後 於 美 國 伊 士 曼 音 樂 學
院 取 得 演 奏 家 文 憑 及 音 樂 博 士 學 位 , 曾 於 學 院 擔 任 鋼 琴 系 、 室 樂 及 伴 奏 系 助 教 , 現 任 教 於
香 港 演 藝 學 院 及 香 港 浸 會 大 學 。 她 師 隨 潘 湯 翠 芬 , 郭 嘉 特 及 Nelita True, 並 曾 取 得 多 個 獎
學 金 , 包 括 尤 德 爵 士 紀 念 基 金 獎 學 金 和 香 港 賽 馬 會 音 樂 及 舞 蹈 基 金 海 外 獎 學 金 。 她 是 伊 士
曼 協 奏 曲 比 賽 冠 軍 得 主 及 美 國 國 家 MTNA 史 坦 威 鋼 琴 比 賽 最 後 六 名 入 選 者 之 一 , 曾 以 獨
奏 身 份 與 美 國 德 州 沃 斯 堡 室 樂 團 、 伊 士 曼 交 響 樂 團 、 香 港 小 交 響 樂 團 和 香 港 管 弦 樂 團 等 合
作 。 她 亦 活 躍 於 室 樂 演 奏 和 致 力 推 動 新 音 樂 , 曾 於 法 國 五 月 節 及 香 港 國 際 現 代 音 樂 節 演 出 。

Alvin Wong - Cellist
Cellist Alvin Wong has appeared in concerts across five continents. He has
performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Seoul Arts Center, and Hong Kong Cultural
Center; and in music festivals such as Aspen, Orford (Canada), Fontfroide and Casals
(France), Sion (Switzerland), Carvalho (Brazil) and Great Mountains (Korea). Recent
highlights include appearances in the Atlantic Music Festival in Maine, Ipalpiti
International Soloists Festival in Los Angeles, tour with Indiana University New Music
Ensemble to the Midwest and East Coast, and an all-Brahms chamber music concert
series in Hong Kong. He is a founding member of The Noble Trio, who won the
Chmielewiski Award and the Audience prize at the 2011 Plowman International
Chamber Music Competition.
A native of Hong Kong, Alvin started playing the piano when he was 3 but did not
study the cello until he was 14. After winning some local competitions, he continued his
cello studies at the Eastman School of Music while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in
Biology. He received his Masters from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where
he was also an Associate Instructor in Music Theory. At Yale School of Music, he
received an Artist Diploma, graduated with the Master of Musical Arts degree, and is
now a doctoral candidate. His major teachers are Aldo Parisot and Janos Starker.
Alvin is currently on faculty of Connecticut College, and is the principal cellist of
Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. He is passionate about bringing live classical
music to a broader audience, and continues to regularly perform solo and chamber
recitals in hospitals, retirement homes, and public schools. He was a member of the
New Haven Outreach Performers.

黃 胤 銘 目 前 是 康 乃 狄 克 大 學 講 師 和 東 康 乃 狄 克 交 響 樂 團 的 首 席 大 提 琴 。 他 熱 衷 於 約
將 現 場 古 典 音 樂 帶 給 更 廣 泛 的 聽 眾 , 並 定 期 以 獨 奏 和 室 內 樂 音 樂 會 的 形 式 在 醫 院 , 養 老 院
和 公 立 學 校 演 出 。
