ACAS (The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service)
ACAS aims to improve organisations and working life through better employment
relations. It helps with employment relations by supplying up-to-date information,
independent advice and high quality training, and working with employers and
employees to solve problems and improve performance.
Although largely funded by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS),
ACAS is a non-departmental body, governed by an independent Council. This allows it
to be independent, impartial and confidential.

Access to Work
Access to Work is a Government programme that provides direct support to employer
and employees that covers the additional costs of employing disabled people. It may
potentially cover up to 80 per cent of the costs of any reasonable adjustments that may
be required.
