6. There should be co-operation between <strong>the</strong> partners concerning reports using<br />
comparison between countries and <strong>the</strong> acknowledgement above should be used.<br />
In addition acknowledgement of <strong>the</strong> partners who contributed <strong>the</strong> relevant data.<br />
7. If <strong>the</strong>re is a book emerging from <strong>the</strong> project, all partners should be consulted.<br />
8. Every partner has <strong>the</strong> right to use <strong>the</strong> data of <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r partners, but he/she should<br />
in<strong>for</strong>m <strong>the</strong> relevant partner that his/her data is being used . Approval is needed<br />
but <strong>the</strong>re will be no veto.<br />
9. Copies of articles/reports/conference papers should be sent to Claire Wallace in<br />
Vienna <strong>for</strong> archiving and <strong>for</strong> use in project reports.<br />

Rights to Data<br />
Survey data<br />
After <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> project, <strong>the</strong> data from <strong>the</strong> project should be <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> exclusive<br />
use of project participants <strong>for</strong> a period of TWO YEARS after <strong>the</strong> end date of <strong>the</strong><br />
project. After that, it will be publicly archived and available <strong>for</strong> general use.<br />
Be<strong>for</strong>e this period, people not involved in <strong>the</strong> project would need to get <strong>the</strong><br />
permission of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Consortium</strong> and would be allowed to publish material as long a<br />
a member of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Consortium</strong> was involved.<br />
O<strong>the</strong>r data (e.g. Reports)<br />
Once <strong>the</strong> deliverable is delivered, it becomes a public document and is available<br />
<strong>for</strong> use by project participants and by <strong>the</strong> general public. However, it should be<br />
acknowledged using <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>m of words above.<br />
Co-operation<br />
Co-operation between project partners and teams is desirable and to be<br />
encouraged in whatever <strong>for</strong>m it takes.<br />
The use of data should also take into account <strong>the</strong> regulations on access to<br />
knowledge enclosed in Annex 2 of <strong>the</strong> contract.<br />
If a team leader or partner or team member leaves <strong>the</strong> project, <strong>the</strong> access to <strong>the</strong><br />
data remains with <strong>the</strong> rest of <strong>the</strong> consortium, as set out in Annex 2 of <strong>the</strong><br />
contract.<br />
Note that <strong>the</strong> copyright <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> data and publications lies with <strong>the</strong> individuals<br />
involved in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Consortium</strong> and not with <strong>the</strong> institutions in which <strong>the</strong>y work.<br />
