Daniel J. Wilkerson<br />
Daniel J. Wilkerson serves as Deputy<br />
University Counsel to the University <strong>of</strong><br />
Colorado. Mr. Wilkerson has been <strong>with</strong><br />
the University since 1989. Prior to joining<br />
the Office <strong>of</strong> University Counsel, Mr.<br />
Wilkerson served four years in the Judge<br />
Advocate General’s Corps <strong>of</strong> the United<br />
States Army.<br />
Mr. Wilkerson holds an undergraduate<br />
degree from Cornell University where he<br />
was a Distinguished Military Graduate.<br />
Mr. Wilkerson received his law degree<br />
from Willamette University in Salem,<br />
Oregon where he was an Associate Editor<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Law Review, a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Moot Court Board, and an <strong>of</strong>ficer <strong>of</strong><br />
student government.<br />
Jennifer Watson<br />
Jennifer Watson serves as a Legal Staff<br />
Associate <strong>with</strong> the Office <strong>of</strong> University<br />
Counsel, University <strong>of</strong> Colorado at<br />
Denver and Health Sciences Center. Ms.<br />
Watson has been <strong>with</strong> the University<br />
since 2004.<br />
Ms. Watson holds a Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in<br />
Business Administration from Saint Louis<br />
University and a J.D., <strong>with</strong> distinction,<br />
from the University <strong>of</strong> Iowa College <strong>of</strong><br />
Law where she was an associate editor on<br />
Law Review and a member <strong>of</strong> the National<br />
Moot Court team. She is admitted to the<br />
Colorado Bar and is a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Denver and Colorado Bar Associations.<br />
Shannon H. Hutchens<br />
Shannon Hutchens is a Legal Staff<br />
Associate <strong>with</strong> the Office <strong>of</strong> University<br />
Counsel, University <strong>of</strong> Colorado at<br />
Denver and Health Sciences Center. Ms.<br />
Hutchens has been <strong>with</strong> the University<br />
since 2003. Prior to joining the Office <strong>of</strong><br />
University Counsel, she practiced health<br />
law at Cook Children’s Health System in<br />
Fort Worth, Texas.<br />
Ms. Hutchens holds a B.A. from Texas<br />
A&M University, a J.D. from Texas Tech<br />
University where she was an articles editor<br />
on Law Review. Following law school,<br />
she obtained a LL.M. in Health Law from<br />
the University <strong>of</strong> Houston. Ms. Hutchens<br />
has written several articles for the<br />
American Health Law Association<br />
(AHLA) on legal/compliance-related<br />
issues. She is admitted to the State Bars<br />
<strong>of</strong> Texas and Colorado.<br />
