ITINERARY... Day 1 Vientiane Take a private tour to see the
thousands of Buddha images at Wat Si Saket and visit Pha That
Luang, a symbol of Lao sovereignty. Day 2 Luang Prabang Travel
from Vientiane to Luang Prabang by air. Visit the Royal Palace
Museum, an eclectic blend of French and Lao architecture. Later,
climb 328 steps to the Phu Si temple and be rewarded with
panoramic views of Luang Prabang. Day 3 Pak Ou Caves Take
a boat trip along the Mekong River to the two sacred limestone
caves filled with Buddha images of all styles and sizes. Stop in
at the silk-weaving village of Ban Phanom on return to Luang
Prabang. Days 4-5 Luang Prabang Visit Wat Xieng Thong, Luang
Prabang's most magnificent temple, or wander the banks of the
mighty Mekong River.

ITINERARY... Day 1 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat Start in Angkor
Wat, easily the most famous of the temples, before moving on
to Angkor Thom to see the Bayon with its 216 smiling stone
faces. Stop for Khmer-style lunch and then visit the beautiful Ta
Prohm temple, made famous by the Tomb Raider film. Day 2
Siem Reap/Banteay Srei Take a trip through the countryside to
the small village of Kbal Spean. Embark on an easy jungle trek to
the River of a Thousand Lingas. See Hindu sculptures carved into
the river's granite banks more than a thousand years ago. Day 3
Siem Reap/Tonle Sap Tour Siem Reap by remork before heading
out of town to Tonle Sap. Take a boat trip around the lake to see
floating villages and get a taste of life ruled by monsoonal rains
and water-based agriculture. Return to town and pay a visit to a
modern Cambodian Buddhist monastery.

lunch of Khmer delicacies at a not-for-profit organisation set up
to assist Cambodia's street children, and see students learning
traditional dances at the Apsara Arts Association. Day 2 Depart
Phnom Penh Confront Cambodia's tragic past on a guided tour
of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, then head out of the city to
the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. In the afternoon, explore Phnom
Penh from the water on a cruise. Finish by enjoying Khmer snacks
while watching sunset at the junction of Tonle Bassac, Tonle Sap
and the mighty Mekong River before returning to Phnom Penh.
