ITINERARY... Day 1 Vientiane Take a private tour to see the<br />
thousands of Buddha images at Wat Si Saket and visit Pha That<br />
Luang, a symbol of Lao sovereignty. Day 2 Luang Prabang <strong>Travel</strong><br />
from Vientiane to Luang Prabang by air. Visit the Royal Palace<br />
Museum, an eclectic blend of French and Lao architecture. Later,<br />
climb 328 steps to the Phu Si temple and be rewarded with<br />
panoramic views of Luang Prabang. Day 3 Pak Ou Caves Take<br />
a boat trip along the Mekong River to the two sacred limestone<br />
caves filled with Buddha images of all styles and sizes. Stop in<br />
at the silk-weaving village of Ban Phanom on return to Luang<br />
Prabang. Days 4-5 Luang Prabang Visit Wat Xieng Thong, Luang<br />
Prabang's most magnificent temple, or wander the banks of the<br />

Prohm temple, made famous by the Tomb Raider film. Day 2<br />
Siem Reap/Banteay Srei Take a trip through the countryside to<br />
the small village of Kbal Spean. Embark on an easy jungle trek to<br />
the River of a Thousand Lingas. See Hindu sculptures carved into<br />
the river's granite banks more than a thousand years ago. Day 3<br />
Siem Reap/Tonle Sap Tour Siem Reap by remork before heading<br />
out of town to Tonle Sap. Take a boat trip around the lake to see<br />
floating villages and get a taste of life ruled by monsoonal rains<br />
and water-based agriculture. Return to town and pay a visit to a<br />
modern Cambodian Buddhist monastery.<br />
