Elective Cluster Program (ECP)
The purpose of ECP is to expand on the subjects offered in the core
curriculum; offer subjects not available in the core curriculum and provide
specialized areas of study that produce skill sets that can be identified and
tracked.
ECP classes are offered once per trimester and constitute 20% of the
resident academic curriculum. The approximate workload is about 120
hours per trimester including class time.
ECP are divided into non competitive and competitive programs.
Individuals and the Developmental Teams vector to the NCP clusters.
Students can volunteer for the competitive program and are
competitively selected by the Naval War College staff.
