NEW CONCESSION AND <strong>US</strong>AGE MODEL FOR NEW RAILROADS – In study by the Government Separation of Infrastructure and Operations: • VALEC is a public company which is the concessionaire for the North-South, East-West Integration and Midwest Integration Railroads • Infrastructure management would continue to be under VALEC’s responsibility, and totally separated from the operation • The operation concessionaire (logistics operator) would acquire the right-of-way to use a preset number of tracks • Goal is to optimize the usage of the railroad and reduce costs due to the efficiency gains
