This seminar covers all aspects for working with advanced detecti<strong>on</strong> methods <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> instruments for the<br />

determinati<strong>on</strong> of molar masses, sizes, <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> structures of macromolecules <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> biopolymers in soluti<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Lectures providing the theoretical background <strong>on</strong> (multi angle) light <str<strong>on</strong>g>scattering</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>viscometry</str<strong>on</strong>g> will be<br />

followed by h<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>s-<strong>on</strong> <strong>training</strong> sessi<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> practical aspects <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> data processing. Tutored discussi<strong>on</strong>s<br />

in small workgroups <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> a trouble shooting sessi<strong>on</strong> ensure that all aspects of molar mass sensitive<br />

detecti<strong>on</strong> are trained efficiently. Each group has its own tutor, an experienced polymer chemist, to<br />

discuss also special applicati<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> questi<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
