Continued Work Method:
M 12. Clean and disinfect floor of lift station, and equipment.
M 13. Confirm availability and condition of safety gear and related equipment. The
minimum safety gear is as follows: Check O&M Manual or others sources for full
listing.Fire extinguisher, Eye protection, Disposable overalls, Disposable gloves,
First aid kit, Hard hat, Gas Mask
SA 14. Check for the accumulation of silt, sludge, or other settled solids, and remove
accumulation if it is in excess of 10% of liquid storage capacity and remove if
accumulation.
A 15. Service pumps. (Check O&M Manual per proper service procedures)
A 16. Inspect site grading and drainage around the lift station to ensure that all runoff drains
away from the lift station and ponding does not occur around the lift stations.
A 17. Inspect electrical panels for correct labelling, corrosion or other damage and
complete repairs as required. Qualified electrician should complete inspection.
A 18. Inspect vapour seal on electrical panel and repair if seal is not airtight.
