Introduction
T.react CIP is the next generation solution for intelligent wide area perimeter intrusion
detection using Terma’s 60 years of experience in delivering mission critical solutions. The
mission critical system architecture makes it ideal for the protection of critical
infrastructure. T.react CIP displays a complete situational overview of the protected area
and proactively alerts the security staff when something out of the ordinary happens.
Any customer wanting to protect critical infrastructures should demand an intrusion
detection system that provides a simple and logical real-time situational overview. This
overview shall include a view of the specified geographical area, all resources of interest as
well as any activity that is out of the ordinary.
Terma’s T.react CIP detect any non-authorized activity in any size of area – before
irreparable damage can be done. T.react CIP is the next generation solution for critical
infrastructure protection and intrusion detection that ensures effective identification of
potential security situations in real time. T.react CIP utilizes radars and PTZ cameras
combined with technologically advanced intelligent software for automated surveillance
and alarming of the protected area.
T.react CIP provides real time alarms when something out of the ordinary happens, based
on one common operational picture representing all activity in the protected area. The
operator will then qualify the alarm by means of cameras and visual inspection of the
possible intruder to decide if it is a friend or intruder. Based on the operator assessment
and the advanced rule engine a set of tasks will be assigned to the operator to ensure
standardized intruder management.

T.react CIP alerts the security staff and supports the security staff’s further assessment of
the situation with live video feeds of the identified possible intruder and recommended
next steps.
T.react CIP offers preset scenarios as well as advanced configuration options using the
built-in rule engine. The user can set up rules relating to specific areas of interest as well
as behavior of moving tracks and relation between the areas and tracks. These rules will be
used to trigger automatic events, sharpening the response times and increasing operator
efficiency.
The main functions of T.react CIP are:
- Detect, track and classify any movement inside all the assigned areas of interest,
which can be inside or outside the actual protected area.
- Provide the operator with the ability to properly identify the type of movement.
- Present a real-time coherent and total picture of activity with zoom to appointed areas.
- Ensure recording of all operator activities and video for fast retrieval.
- Feed and present real-time video from appointed cameras using automatic tracking.
- Raise warnings and cue to slaved or fixed cameras in case of activity.
- Invoke alarms and responses in case of an intrusion.
