General Information 

1. Payments may be made by Money Order, Cashiers Check or 

Personal Check (Driver’s license required for Personal Checks). For 

Facility Rentals, Personal Checks will not be accepted within 45 

days of event date. Payment may be made by credit card with 

on-line registrations (Subject to Convenience Fee). 

2. Refund Policies 

General: Our policy is to provide a 100% refund for anyone who 

submits a written request to the administrative office prior to the 

start of an activity. Any written refund requests received after 

the first day of an activity will be processed with a $20 

administrative fee. After the third day of an activity, there will be 

no refunds. There will be no refunds issued for materials or 

supplies purchased for an activity. This policy does not apply to 

one day programs, athletic leagues, special events, adult trips 

or facility rentals. 

One Day Programs, Athletic Leagues and Special Events: Our 

policy is to provide a 100% refund to anyone who submits a 

written request to the administrative office a minimum of one 

week prior to the start of an activity. No refunds will be granted 

within a week of an activity. 

Adult Trips: Cancellation requests must be received by the 

administrative office a minimum of three days prior to the trip. A 

credit will be applied to your account for use towards a future 

trip or activity. No refunds will be granted within three days of 

the trip. 

Facility Rentals: Please refer to the facility rental application or 

call the office for details. 

3. Proof of Residency - Proof of residency is required to receive the 

resident rate. (City of North Miami water bill or FPL bill.) 

4. Registration Policy - A Birth Certificate is required for each child 

registered. Additionally, only parents and legal guardians are 

permitted to register their children. Parents must show valid 

identification at the time of registration. 

5. Returned Check Policy - For each returned check, the City will 

assess a service fee of $20, pursuant to Florida Statute 166.251, 

1991. No payment by check shall be accepted if a returned check 

was received from an individual’s bank during the past 24 months. 

6. Availability of Space - All activities, programs and facilities are 

first-come, first-serve. Each program/activity session must be 

registered for in advance. Activities with multiple sessions can be 

registered for one session at a time or a combination of all sessions 

at once. Facilities must be reserved at least 15 days in advance.

not permitted!

The Joe Celestin Center (1525 NW 135 Street) is a 20,000 square foot facility that contains 

a multipurpose room, computer lab, arts and craft room, game room and the City’s first 

gymnasium. Initial programming at the Center will include various arts and craft classes, 

basketball, computer classes, fitness classes and volleyball. The Center will also be available 

for rent to host your social and sporting events. We look forward to having you visit our
