• Premature <strong>for</strong>mulas are only available in hospital. If you have questions<br />
about this <strong>for</strong>mula please talk to your dietitian.<br />
What are premature discharge <strong>for</strong>mulas?<br />
• Premature discharge <strong>for</strong>mulas are <strong>for</strong>mulas which have more calories, protein<br />
<strong>and</strong> vitamins/minerals than term <strong>for</strong>mulas. These <strong>for</strong>mulas would be<br />
appropriate <strong>for</strong> premature babies born very small or who were very sick while<br />
in hospital. <strong>Your</strong> dietitian will discuss these <strong>for</strong>mulas with you.<br />
• At the present time, premature discharge <strong>for</strong>mulas are available by ordering<br />
from Wal-Mart or Shoppers Drug Mart. Ask the pharmacist at your store<br />
nearest you. The Specialty Food Shop at the <strong>Hospital</strong> <strong>for</strong> Sick Children also<br />
has these <strong>for</strong>mulas. You can order by phone 1-800-737-7976 or online<br />
www.SpecialtyFoodShop.com. The shop will deliver to your home if needed.<br />
