PRO SPORTS CLUB’S
YOUNG STARS
Congratulations to our Jr. Squash Champions
who played in 2010 U.S. Junior Open Squash
Championships in December. This was the biggest
junior tournament in the world hosting over 600
participants from countries including Columbia,
Egypt, and Mexico. Elena Wagenmans, Helen
Teagan, and Reeham Sedkey won first place in
their age division without dropping a single game,
and Salim Khan won second place in his age
division. He was also the only U.S. boy to finish in
first or second place in any division.
“All the junior players did really well,” says
Squash Pro, Azam Khan. “They went deep into
the tournament and competed well. They’ve all
worked hard and are dedicated to their practice. They deserve
to be recognized. It was quite impressive for one club to be
represented by so many good players.”
PAVILION
Congratulations to our Sparks girls basketball team
who placed second in the Western WA Premier
Basketball Association (WWPBA) 2010 fall league.
Their record for the season was eight wins and
only three losses with a five game winning streak.
Through their hard work and dedication, the Sparks
never gave up and continued to improve as a team
and as individuals.
“I played on a select team before coming here,”
says Molly Brown. “Everyone here is so friendly and
supportive that I immediately knew that this is the
team I wanted to play for. You’re always excited to
come here. The coaches make it even better.”
Team Sparks:
Stella Sohl adds, “Loren is very patient with us and
taught us to be patient with each other and work as a
team. We’ve all become close friends.”
“It has been an honor and privilege to coach this
great group of girls,” says Head Girls Basketball
Coach, Loren Tillman. “I’m so proud of all of them.”
