THE OLD COURSE
The Jagorawi Old course
is the dame of all courses
in Indonesia and clearly it’s
a course that belongs to
Asia’s top ten. Designed by
Thomson and Wolveridge,
the Old course matured over
a period of more than three
decades into one of Asia’s
most challenging courses.
Bring your A-game to tame
a course that demands
accuracy over distance.
The opening hole is a
real eye opener. Standing on
the tee box, some 40 meters
down below a fairway awaits
that needs to be negotiated
with diligence and patience.
The Cikeas River to the
right has caught many a ball
that was meant to land on
the right side of the fairway,
the ideal place to be on this
demanding par 5.
Hole #1 definitely may
intimidate first time visitors,
but at the same time it sets
the tone for a course that you
certainly will enjoy playing
tremendously. Once the
venue of the Indonesian
Open, each and every hole is
different and will be engraved
in your memory forever.

You haven’t played golf in
Indonesia if you haven’t
played the Jagorawi Old
Course.
THE NEW COURSE
The proud venue for the
26 th SEA GAMES 2011, The
Jagorawi New course is said
to be long and difficult and
with its NEW greens, maybe
it is! However, with a choice
of 4 tee boxes, players of
every level of skill can find
enjoyment in playing it.
Twice the venue of the
Indonesian Open, the New
course is more open and
wide. Long hitters can grip
it and rip it here. The front
nine is a nice exercise for
what is to come on the back
nine. Holes #11, 12 and 13
are definitely the score killers
where accuracy plays a more
important role than distance.
Designed by the same
tandem Thomson and
Wolveridge, with the New
course both gentlemen were
able to create an equally
interesting but yet different
layout than the Old course.
THE Z NINE
The Z-Nine was created
by Jagorawi’s owner and
founder Pak Zakir in close
cooperation with USA native
and golf course designer par
excellence Max Wexler.
The Z-Nine probably is
the most challenging 9-hole
course you can play in
Indonesia. Nine terrific holes
snake through the Cikeas
River valley, where a minimum
of earth was moved to create
this little devil.
Nature was maintained in
its purest form and decade old
trees were incorporated in the
design. Low handicappers will
love the Z-Nine, while higher
handicappers should play this
course to try and take their
game to a higher level.
Eight times the Cikeas
River needs to be crossed,

indicating the presence of
plenty of water hazards that
luckily not always come into
play. So don’t worry, your ball
may stay dry more often than
you think.
Pak Zakir hails from
Padang (West Sumatera) and
his wish to welcome golfers
to his “golf home” has been
translated appropriately by
the architects into a design of
ethnic significance.
JGCC’s clubhouse is
built in the so called Padang
(West Sumatera) style and
stands tall as a landmark
amid the lush green garden
environment that once used
to be jungle-land.
Golfers that want to hone
their skills will find JGCC a
perfect place to do so.

PRACTICE FACILITIES
Sheltered driving bays at
the CPGA (CIMB Preferred
Guests Academy), hitting
from highest quality artificial
grass surface using the top
driving range ball available,
will help you to improve on
your driving skills under all
weather conditions.
Right behind the
clubhouse, the spacious
putting practice area enables
golfers to master the “short
stick” to finesse. This practice
area also offers room to
practice bunker shots as well
as chipping skills.
Adjacent to tee box #1
of the Old Course, a second
putting practice area has
been created to not only
practice putting, chipping and
sand shots but also to pass
possible waiting time in a
somewhat pleasant manner.
