<strong>Zafety</strong> <strong>Lug</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> ®* - Installation & Removal Instructions<br />

<strong>Zafety</strong> <strong>Lug</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> ®* creates resistance between two nuts to minimize their ability to rotate<br />

resulting in reduced risk of nut and wheel loss by securing the lug nuts together.<br />

<strong>Zafety</strong> <strong>Lug</strong> <strong>Lock</strong>® is designed to be used with 30, 32, 33 or 38 mm nuts on 89 mm stud centres, 30, 32 or 33mm nuts<br />

on 105 mm stud centres or 22 or 25 mm nuts on 64 mm stud centres.<br />

Installation Instructions:<br />

1. Wheels and lug nuts must be installed as directed by the<br />

manufacturer's specifications<br />

2. Once the wheels and lug nuts are properly installed, <strong>Zafety</strong><br />

<strong>Lug</strong> <strong>Lock</strong>s® are applied with the <strong>Zafety</strong> <strong>Lug</strong> <strong>Lock</strong>®* name<br />

visible.<br />

3. Apply the units on adjacent nuts and push them on as far<br />

down the nut as possible.<br />

4. Complete installation for all 10 nuts.<br />

5. Follow all normal safety and maintanace inspections. 1<br />

6. Nuts can be re-torqued without removing the <strong>Zafety</strong> <strong>Lug</strong><br />

<strong>Lock</strong>® units.<br />

Normal Removal:<br />

Use your fingers (gloves if needed) to pull up on the ends of<br />

the unit beside the nuts.<br />

Using Optional Installation & Removal Tool:<br />

Use if units are difficult to remove in conditions of cold, snow,<br />

ice or there are large numbers of wheels to be serviced.<br />

Use the tool (pictured left) by placing the claw end of the tool<br />

under the edge of the <strong>Zafety</strong> <strong>Lug</strong> <strong>Lock</strong>® unit around one of<br />

the nuts and then gently pull up. Do not pull up in the middle.<br />

Reinstalling:<br />

If in freezing conditions, warm the units up over a hot<br />

air vent or inside a warm building before trying to<br />

reinstall Keep them warm {in your pocket) until installing.<br />
