Zafety Lug Lock ®* - Installation & Removal Instructions
Zafety Lug Lock ®* creates resistance between two nuts to minimize their ability to rotate
resulting in reduced risk of nut and wheel loss by securing the lug nuts together.
Zafety Lug Lock® is designed to be used with 30, 32, 33 or 38 mm nuts on 89 mm stud centres, 30, 32 or 33mm nuts
on 105 mm stud centres or 22 or 25 mm nuts on 64 mm stud centres.
Installation Instructions:
1. Wheels and lug nuts must be installed as directed by the
manufacturer's specifications
2. Once the wheels and lug nuts are properly installed, Zafety
Lug Locks® are applied with the Zafety Lug Lock®* name
visible.
3. Apply the units on adjacent nuts and push them on as far
down the nut as possible.
4. Complete installation for all 10 nuts.
5. Follow all normal safety and maintanace inspections. 1
6. Nuts can be re-torqued without removing the Zafety Lug
Lock® units.
Normal Removal:
Use your fingers (gloves if needed) to pull up on the ends of
the unit beside the nuts.
Using Optional Installation & Removal Tool:
Use if units are difficult to remove in conditions of cold, snow,
ice or there are large numbers of wheels to be serviced.
Use the tool (pictured left) by placing the claw end of the tool
under the edge of the Zafety Lug Lock® unit around one of
the nuts and then gently pull up. Do not pull up in the middle.
Reinstalling:
If in freezing conditions, warm the units up over a hot
air vent or inside a warm building before trying to
reinstall Keep them warm {in your pocket) until installing.
