International Grant-making Capability
We make it easy for donors with U.S.-sourced income to support
Tides Canada’s funds and projects and receive a U.S. tax benefit
Any donation of $1,000 USD or greater recommended to a Tides Canada fund or project generates a
U.S. charitable donation receipt. Americans or individuals with U.S.-sourced income can benefit from
our international grant-making capability by making a donation to the Tides Canada Exchange Fund at
Tides Foundation.
Here’s how it works:

Complete, print, and sign the form below. The charity information is pre-filled but you will need to
specify the name of the fund or project you are donating to.
Mail the signed form with your check payable to “Tides Foundation” in the U.S. to the following
address: Tides Foundation, PO Box 29903, The Presidio, San Francisco, CA 94129-0903, USA
Within three to six weeks of your donation, Tides Foundation provides you with an
acknowledgment receipt that can be used for U.S. tax purposes.
The Tides Canada fund or project receives the grant in four to six weeks in a Canadian dollar
amount equivalent to your U.S. dollar gift minus the 2% retained by Tides Foundation.
