I have recently been privileged to

less than half a dozen men and women
who are supposed to have the “gift of
tongues,” and who are prominently
identified with numerous present-day
religious movements that exhibit these gifts
of the spirits as evidence of Heavenly

gradually lost his power of automatic

has been wholly unable to indulge in this
phenomenon.
