GIS Takes Gold in Under 15 Games<br />
Sports stars from GIS returned home with gold medals after<br />
a hugely successful competition against other British<br />
schools in Southeast Asia.<br />
GIS sent a team to Triall International School in Bangkok<br />
recently for the FOBISIA Under 15 games. FOBISIA is the<br />
Federation of British International Schools in Asia.<br />
The boys and girls' teams both came home as swimming<br />
champions, while the boys' also took gold for track and field.<br />
The girls came third in their track and field contest.<br />
After a toughly-fought football tournament, the GIS boys were<br />
runners-up - and also came second in the basketball<br />
competition. The GIS girls' team finished fourth in their<br />
football competition.<br />
The results again confirm GIS's position as a school that<br />
produces outstanding young athletes who are capable of<br />
competing at the very top levels.<br />
