When the Fall Term of 1917 opened up ~ts arms, there was
among the Frorh a certain man from the coal dumps of Mount
Carrnel present and accounted for From the start. "Steve"
won the friendrhip of h~s classmate by rhe putting to rout of a
hazing party of wary Sophc, and ~ince then hjs popularity has
been tncreasing by leaps and bundr. Bes~des bcmg an athlete
of no mean ability, his natural bent seems to be ~n rnlxlng the
elusive chemicals in Doc Brown's labrator\-. Any game he
plays is played well and to the hit of his strength, and he is
