Contruction
Many years of research have led to the design of
an advanced rail system with the minimum of just
two moving parts which allow the door to seal under
its own wieght by sliding down and in at an angle of
45° against the frame and threshhold. Combine the
unique rail system, high insulation properties of the
polyurethane panels, effective sealing gaskets and
you have the perfect chiller/freezer door; energy
saving, totally reliable and easy to use.
Durability
The door has been designed to withstand the rigours
of industrial use. The composite panel construction
is extremely stable and is contained in a heavy duty
framework and this, together with a horizontal
bumper bar, protects the panels from impact
damage and gives rigidity
Temperature
Depending on ambient temperature the doors are
designed for cold rooms operating from as low as
-25°C to +70°C. If doors are for freezer rooms
then a self regulating heater tape is fitted to prevent
the gasket from sticking to the frame.
Finish
The Metaflex doors are available in coated steel sheet in a
chaice of RAL colours or in stainless steel with a circleground
pattern.
Manual or Automatic
All Metaflex doors can be manually operated or
fully automatic with a microprocessor controlled
electric system. It is recommended that doors
which are used extensively are automated with
resultant savings of energy and operator time.
Electric automation
This consists of a 220/380 V motor mounted on
the rail system which fully drives the door open
and closed. A safety strip on the leading edge will
re-open the door if an obstruction is encountered.
The door can easily be operated manually in the
event of power failure.
Controls
The standard operation is by means of push
button/pull cord switches.
Infra-red or radar detection units can be added
with timer close facility.
