Rasto – the Invis Mx drill jig
The holes for Invis Mx can be drilled with a stationary drill or
CNC machines. They can also be drilled precisely by hand with
an according drill jig, for example with the the Rasto.
Drill precise and efficient holes without
measuring or marking into any shape!
The Rasto concept uses positioning pins as stops instead of
measuring the hole positon. The holes always align perfectly
because the position of the pins is not changed when drilling
the second workpiece. The transparency allows for easy set
up on the work piece or aligning to a pencil mark. Due to
its approx. 180 positioning holes Rasto can be used for nearly
any shape, thickness or size. Allows drilling in the 32mm grid.

How Invis Mx works

– The MiniMag Mx attaches to any cordless drill with
1200 – 1500 min¯¹.
– The rotating magnetic field of the MiniMag Mx drives the joining
element just as one cogwheel drives another.
– The screw within the joining element threads itself into the inside
thread of the stud, driven by the contact-free magnetic field.
– To open the connection, simply change the drill direction

FAQ
«When is the joint closed?»
As soon as the sound of the joining element has changed
into a regular knocking sound.
«Can I tighten the joint too much?»
No. The maximum pressure is reached with a few seconds.
«When is the joint open?»
As soon as the joining element sound has changed into
a regular rolling sound.
«Does the connection open in case of vibration?»
No. As long as the connection was properly tightened,
vibrations will not open it.
«How do I find the (invisible) connection if I want
to take the workpiece apart again?»
Spin the MiniMag Mx and run it along the joint until
the joining element beneath is at its loudest.
«Can the connection open due to another magnet
in the vicinity?»
No. The connection is mechanically screwed tight. It can only open
if a rotating magnetic field of the correct strength, the correct
rotation speed, distance and angle, is applied to the connection
(MiniMag Mx).
