THE GATHERING PLACE
CONEXPO-CON/AGG® will be the largest international gathering place in 2008 for the construction
industries, showcasing the latest equipment, products, services and technologies.
The Most Important Event on Your 2008 Calendar
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 expects more than 125,000 industry professionals from 120+
countries looking for new products and developments, face-to-face meetings with suppliers,
networking, and expert education and training. More than 2,000 exhibitors are anticipated for
the 2008 show, taking more than 1.88 million net square feet of exhibit space.
No other exposition in 2008 will offer exhibitors the number and quality of attendees who
are looking to do business. The show’s extensive promotion campaign helps ensure that tens
of thousands of buyers, decision-makers and industry leaders are in attendance. CONEXPO-
CON/AGG 2008 welcomes the support of more than 85 associations and organizations that
join in promoting the show to their members and customers.
With co-located industry meetings and the annual conventions of leading industry organizations,
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 will be the top venue to meet buyers for the construction industry.
Two Shows in One
IFPE, the International Exposition for Power Transmission, will again co-locate with CONEXPO-
CON/AGG 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. IFPE 2008 is the leading international exposition
and technical conference devoted to power transmission and motion control through hydraulic,
pneumatic, electrical and mechanical technologies. There is no better place for your design engineers
and purchasing managers to see the latest technology in power transmission
components, systems and controls for your equipment!
Along with the IFPE show is the prestigious IFPE Technical Conference, featuring
presentations by international experts on power transmission and motion
control technologies. The conference is well-known to engineers worldwide and a
perfect complement to the IFPE exhibits.
BUYING POWER
No other show in the Western Hemisphere attracts the quantity and quality of
attendees like CONEXPO-CON/AGG. More than 125,000 industry professionals
— representatives from all aspects of the construction industry — will come
to do business at the 2008 show.
Buyers at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005 spent an average of 14.5 hours visiting the exhibits over an average
of 2.7 days. The 2004 average for manufacturing/industrial shows was 9.0 hours over 2.1 days.
Quality Attendance
Registration results from CONEXPO-CON/
AGG 2005 revealed that the top level decisionmakers—presidents,
owners, vice presidents,
chief financial officers and managers—made
up the largest group of buyers at the show. This
group of management personnel with buying
infl uence constituted 75% of the show’s
attendees. CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 will
build on past benchmarks in order to register a
large number of quality attendees with true
buying power.
Net Buying Influence
The overall Net Buying Influence (NBI) of
attendees at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005 and
IFPE 2005 was 86% according to the Attendee
Survey conducted by Exhibit Surveys, Inc. This
means that 86% of the 124,000+ attendees
were involved in the purchasing decisions for
their companies. More specifically, 50% of
attendees had the final say in the purchase
of at least one of the products or services
exhibited, 32% specified the supplier, and
50% recommended one or more products
or services for purchase.
Buying Habits
Source: 2005 Attendee Survey
■ 51% of attendees planned to buy one or
more of the types of products/services exhibited
as a result of what they saw at the 2005
shows, a 10% increase from the 2002 show.
■ The average planned purchase of the types
of products/services exhibited over the
12 months following the 2005 shows was
$3.6 million.
■ 44% of the attendees made most purchases
of the types of products/services exhibited
within 6 months after the 2005 shows.
■ 42% of total planned purchases were
influenced by what attendees saw at the
2005 shows.
The 2005 attendance total was the largest ever achieved at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, totaling more than
124,000 industry professionals and breaking the all-time attendance record set at the 1999 show.
Exhibitors who are members of more than one of the owner associations
Space Draw, to be held in Las Vegas in October, 2006. You will receive a letter
in September informing you of your priority number and date/time to select
your company’s exhibit space. If your company is unable to attend, Show
Management will assign your company’s exhibit space during the space
draw based on your priority number. After the completion of the exhibitor
space draw, Show Management will assign booth numbers and send out
letters to inform you of your official exhibit space assignment. Exhibitors
who complete their application with their deposit after August 15, 2006 will
be assigned an exhibit space on a first-come, first-served basis.
in one of the sponsoring associations. An exhibitor will be allowed to
choose the division with the most number of years in any of the sponsoring
associations.
The Past Participation Number is based on the company’s total square
feet from CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005.
An exhibitor will be allowed to use the total square feet purchased for
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005. The total square feet cannot exceed the
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005 maximum space sizes (40,000 indoor, 50,000
outdoor or 60,000 combined indoor/outdoor). If a company acquires
another company or companies, the parent company can use the newly
acquired company but cannot exceed the maximum space sizes from
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005.
Maximize Your Space
Your Priority
exhibitors to maximize the amount of exhibit space contracted within
the height restrictions in the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 Rules and
Regulations. Exhibit space requests should be made in increments of 10
feet, with a minimum booth size of 100 square feet.
