• The NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Kidney Transplant Program is one of just 8 national kidney transplant programs
to receive a 2011 HealthGrades Kidney Transplant Excellence Award. This award is given to transplant programs with
statistically significantly higher three-year survival rates as well as waitlist mortality that was either not significantly
different than expected or was significantly lower than expected based on SRTR calculations. HealthGrades is the
leading provider of information to help consumers make an informed decision about a physician or hospital, and their
annual evaluation of the nation’s top-performing hospitals in organ transplantation includes clinical quality data, based
on patient outcomes, for each of the 263 adult and pediatric acute care hospitals that perform transplants.
