<strong>Epson</strong> Philippines Corporation (EPC) recently held a series of events <strong>to</strong> honor the company’s <strong>to</strong>p<br />

trade partners and <strong>to</strong> prepare them for a more aggressive 2013 fiscal year. With the theme<br />

‘<strong>Shift</strong>ing In<strong>to</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>Gear</strong>’, the ‘kick-offs’ were held at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Solaire Resort<br />

and Casino in Pasay, and Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.<br />

The events highlighted <strong>Epson</strong>’s<br />

commitment <strong>to</strong> empower its partners as<br />

exemplified by <strong>Epson</strong>’s consistent<br />

support <strong>to</strong> their businesses, updates<br />

about the latest digital imaging<br />

technology innovations, and product<br />

showcases.<br />

Toshimitsu Tanaka exhorts <strong>Epson</strong>’s trade partners. “<strong>Epson</strong> is ‘<strong>Shift</strong>ing in<strong>to</strong><br />

<strong>High</strong> <strong>Gear</strong>’! We will surpass last year’s achievements and reach greater<br />

heights,” said Tanaka.<br />

corporate segment. Inkjet products such<br />

are especially in high demand,” said<br />

Recently, <strong>Epson</strong> shared information from the International Data Corporation (IDC)** confirming<br />

that <strong>Epson</strong> dominated the market for Inkjet Printers (IJP) in 2012 with a commanding 34.4% value<br />

share. The figure denotes a rise in <strong>Epson</strong> IJP value share from 26.8% <strong>to</strong> 34.4% from the<br />

preceding year.<br />

The 2012 IDC Report also authenticated that for the Serial Dot Matrix (SIDM) printer category,<br />

<strong>Epson</strong> has remained unbeatable in the Philippines with a 90.3% value share. For several decades,<br />

<strong>Epson</strong> has been the undisputed leader in the dot matrix printer segment in the country.<br />

<strong>Epson</strong> is also taking steps <strong>to</strong> dominate the Philippine projec<strong>to</strong>r market. Back in February, the<br />

company launched new 3D and interactive projec<strong>to</strong>r models<br />

for home and business use that push the standards of current<br />

projec<strong>to</strong>r technology offered <strong>to</strong> the public.<br />
