General <strong>Meeting</strong> Information<br />
Exhibit<br />
The exhibit <strong>of</strong> linguistic publications will be in the Constitution Ballroom.<br />

The exhibit is scheduled to be open the following<br />
Friday, 9 January 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM<br />
Saturday, 10 January 10: 00 AM – 1:00 PM 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM<br />
Sunday, 11 January 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM<br />
The display copies in the LSA Joint Book Exhibit will be sold begining at 8:30 AM on 9 January. These display copies have been<br />
generously donated by the publishers exhibiting in the LSA Joint Book Exhibit, and the proceeds will be donated to fellowships for<br />
the <strong>Linguistic</strong> Institute. Advance orders for display copies, at a discount <strong>of</strong> 5% greater than that given by the publisher, will be taken<br />
prior to 11 January if accompanied by payment. All books must be picked up on 11 January between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM.<br />
Unclaimed books will be resold and the advance payment donated to the <strong>Linguistic</strong> Institute fellowships.<br />
Job Placement Center<br />
A Job Placement Center will be be set up in Beacon D On 9 and 10 January, the center will be open 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. It will<br />
also be open 9:00 – 11:00 AM on 11 January. Lists <strong>of</strong> openings will be available, and the staff will facilitate interviews between<br />
applicants and employers. Interviewers are asked to list openings and check in with the center staff so that an interview schedule can<br />
be arranged. Applicants should bring an adequate supply <strong>of</strong> their CV's—enough to submit one copy to each interviewer. The center<br />
will have no duplication facilities.<br />
Speakers' Preparation Room.<br />
The Kent Room will be open 8 January, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and 9 and 10 January, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, for speakers who have<br />
brought their own equipment for Power Point presentations and wish to test their equipment before their session.<br />
