Even the most energy efficient window can lose some of its efficiency
by not being installed and insulated correctly.
VELUX installation products assist in meeting all current regulations for both
renovation and new building in terms of conservation of energy and air tightness.

Insulation Collar – BDX
Vapour Barrier – BBX
In order to reduce heat loss, the gap between the roof
structure and the window frame needs to be insulated.
• The BDX 2000 comprises three original VELUX installation products – Insulation
Collar (BDX), Underfelt Collar (BFX) and drainage gutter. Together they seal and
insulate around the window externally.
• The Insulation Collar optimises the insulation around the window frame by
preventing heat loss and eliminating cold bridges.
• Makes positioning the window in the roof and installing the window a simple
process.
• Pleated Underfelt Collar (BFX) with welded corners included.
• Custom made to fit window dimensions.
• Click fittings ensure fast and accurate assembly of frame components.
• The BDX cannot be used with EDN and EDJ recessed flashings.

Prevent vapour and humidity from condensing in the roof
