This is how to adjust KYRA to the anatomy of your body by
using the synchronous mechanism.
Seat height
Use the lever under the front of the
seat on the right (when seated) to
infinitely adjust the height of the
seat. Draw the lever up, then let it
go as soon as the seat reaches the
right height.
Seat depth
By pressing the oblong button on
the right side of the seat, you can
slide the seat forward or backward.

Angle of the seat tilt and syn-

The lever under the front of the seat
on the left allows you to choose between
synchronous movement of
the chair and a fixed chosen position
of seat and backrest.
1. Lever in upper position
You can lock KYRA into any chosen
position.
2. Lever in horizontal position
If you lean against the backrest,
KYRA will follow your movements
synchronously up to a seat tilt
of 0°.
3. Lever in lower position
If you lean against the backrest,
KYRA will follow your movements
synchronously up to a seat tilt
of -3°.

Weight adjustment
The handwheel next to the lever
under the front of the seat on the
right allows you to adapt the chair’s
tension and, as a result, the pressure
of the backrest to the weight
of your body. Turn the wheel
forward and the tension will be
increased; turn it backward and the
tension will be reduced.
Height adjustment of
the backrest
By pressing the button at the bottom
right-hand side of the backrest,
you can individually adjust the
backrest height.

Lumbar support
As an option, KYRA is also available
with an adjustable lumbar
support. The depth of the support is
adjusted by turning the integrated
handwheel on the backrest. Turning
it to the right increases the supportive
strength, turning it to the left
reduces the strength.

Adjustability of the 4-D armrests
Armrests
KYRA is available either with or without
2-, 3- or 4-dimensional armrests.
The armrest height is adjusted
with the help of a push-button on
the outer side of the armrest. The
space between both armrests can
be adjusted. It is also possible to
equip the chair with armrests at a
later date. Armrest caps which can
be pushed forward and backward
(3-dimensional) and adjusted in
angle (4-dimensional) are optionally
available.
Ring-shaped armrests
As an alternative, KYRA can be
equipped with ring-shaped armrests
which are adjustable in width and
height.

Your ideal sitting position.
Your seat height is correct when
your legs form an angle of 90° at
the knees (thighs and feet horizontal).
Important: Be sure that you
feel no pressure on your thighs
(restricted blood circulation!). Your
work surface is at the right height if
your arms form an angle of approximately
90° at the elbows and your
lower arms are almost horizontal to
the desk top.
Proper care of KYRA
All mechanical and movable parts
of KYRA, as well as all dyed-through
plastic parts, require no maintenance.
The cushions can be cleaned
with a brush and a normal fabric
cleaning agent. Napa leather: Clean
occasionally with well-diluted soapy
water. Wipe off with clean water. Allow
to dry, then polish with a woollen
cloth. Do not use a cleaning
agent or polish. If the chair is on a
carpet, you should periodically
remove the carpet fluff which can
collect around the castors.

A word on safety
The construction of KYRA is based
on international safety standards
and requirements, as well as on
years of Girsberger expertise in office
seating. All plastic parts of
KYRA are of robust material and resistant
to impact, scratches and
chipping. KYRA was designed as an
office seat for one person. If
the chair is put to any other use,
Girsberger will not accept liability.
Children should not be allowed to
play in the vicinity of KYRA. The
pneumatic spring unit should not be
exposed to heat or opened forcefully.
Work on or replacement of the
pneumatic springs may only be
done by trained specialists.
The standard model comes with
castors for carpet floors. Soft castors
for hard floors can be recognized
by the coloured ring on the
outside rim.
