COMPASS RETEST POLICY
Students may retest only at the mid-term of the first semester of their enrollment in developmental courses, and again, if
necessary, at the end of their first semester of developmental courses. The following are acceptable reasons for students who
wish to retest:
1. attempting to improve scores for higher course placement;
2. never being enrolled in English, reading or mathematics courses; and
3. if the COMPASS test or any other assessment was taken over three (3) years ago.
To retest for any component of the COMPASS Test, you must have a receipt. The retesting fee is $8.00 per component paid at
the Bursar/Cashier Window in the O.H. Delchamps, Jr. Student Life Conference Complex on the Main Campus. This fee is
paid prior to retesting.
WHAT TO DO AFTER TAKING THE COMPASS ASSESSMENT
1. Register for the Summer 2012 semester, which begins May 15 and continues through the drop/add period, which ends
May 18, 2012.
2. Drop /add / late registration is available during the period of May 17-18, 2012.
3. To view the Summer 2012 Class Schedule, log on to www.bishop.edu.
