SECRETARY’S REPORT<br />
• MOTION: Approval of Last Month’s Minutes (MT / TG) Board approved - Unanimous<br />
TREASURER’S REPORT – John Clark<br />
• Approx. $19,000 billable for ice bills<br />
• Current status per attached Profit & Loss statement. Current period shows a loss due to normal<br />
expenses for this time of year, mainly ice fees.<br />
• Still working on resolving billing issues with Prior Lake<br />
• MOTION: Approve Treasurers Report (see attached) (CH / KH). Board approved - Unanimous<br />
GAMBLING REPORT - Tim Fitzgibbons<br />
• No donation this month due to payroll taxes coming due<br />
• Working on reconciliations.<br />
• December Actuals and January Estimated costs per the attached Gambling Reports.<br />
• MOTION: Approve the Gambling Report as attached, (MT / JC) Board approved - Unanimous<br />

<strong>HOCKEY</strong> TOURNAMENTS - Markgraf (Open Position)<br />
• Terry Gutterman will be the board rep for the Jan Tournament, still 6 volunteer slots open.<br />
ICE TIME<br />
• Unsure of efforts to load remainder of schedule onto the website<br />
• Need to address perception that outdoor ice is charged as part of the ice bill and needs to be made<br />
up. Outdoor ice is supplemental and not charged as part of ice bills or fees. Cancelled outdoor<br />
practices or games will not be made up.<br />
• Concerns and Ideas<br />
Concern: Late ice times for Squirts Ideas: ice time at other rinks, extend the season.<br />
Concern: Inequity in ice time between in house and traveling Squirts. Ideas: find ways to increase<br />
in-house ice allocation, ice time at other rinks, extend season.<br />
Concern: Lack of full sheet practices. Ideas: reduce the number of 1 hr 15 min practices to try and<br />
create more full sheet opportunities<br />
FUNDRAISING/ADVERTISING - Lisa Kubes (Sponsorships)<br />
• Board would like to explore the possibility of taking donations online.<br />

• John Clark noted that the concession stand has netted about $5000 this year<br />

NEW SHEET/RINK IMPROVEMENTS - Kubes/Loiselle<br />
• The following Association members have agreed to begin planning another new arena presentation<br />

<strong>YOUTH</strong> COACHES - Loiselle, Menke, Grosskurth, Haglund/In-house<br />
• Ed Loiselle and Eric Lindstrom will be meeting to discuss a few issues. Nothing major at this point.<br />

• No updates at this time.<br />
GOLF TOURNAMENT – No Report<br />
OPEN FORUM<br />
• S.K.A.T.E. Program Update: Reminder that this program is for Squirts and up. About $1500 in<br />
donations have been received including spots in camps from both Ed Loiselle and John Haglund.<br />
Participants will be announced at the High School hockey game on February 16 th.<br />
MOTION: SYHA to donate up to $500 towards 07-08 (MT / CH) Board approved unanimous<br />
MOTION: SYHA to allocate 16 hrs volunteer time for the position of SKATE Coordinator (TS / CH)<br />
Board approved unanimous<br />
• Eric Lindstrom working on SYHA nights at upcoming High School hockey games.<br />
