concluding with our Communion service.
This is a great teaching moment for children.
Sign-up now and become part of a new St. Paul’s tradition.
COMMUNITY MEAL UPDATE
St. Paul’s has hosted 19 Community Meals, serving over
2000 meals. The dinners have been popular with parishioners
and guests alike. We have all learned a great deal in
the process. We have adjusted, tweaked, and refined our
procedures. Instructions are given at the beginning of each
dinner to teach new volunteers and update or refresh those
who have worked before. Our goal has always been to
make our guests and volunteers feel welcomed and needed.
Our plan is to continue the meals as long as the members
of the church and our guests keep coming.
We have been blessed that every week our roster of volunteers
is filled. But we are concerned about burnout, especially
for our regular volunteers. Our hope is to have broad
participation from our church members. If you haven’t
volunteered lately, please consider signing up to work once
a month or even once every other month. The signup book
is available after every service. At least a month or more
of opportunities are provided. During the week, call the
church to let us know that you can help.
If you are unable to work, do come to dinner to help make
our guests feel welcomed.

C.S. Lewis meets Sigmund Freud!
Today at 10:15, Brianna Laybourn
will give us a preview of a play
coming to town. Brianna earned
her Master’s Degree in Theology
and Contemporary Culture at Fuller Seminary. She
will preview the issues raised by Freud’s Last Session.
The show itself runs for three consecutive weekends,
beginning Feb. 28, at The Actors Summit (103 High
St.), Thur, Fri, and Sat evenings at 7:30 and Sun
afternoons at 2pm. We hope to get a good number
to attend the play and a dinner-discussion at a date
sometime in March. Start by coming to Adult Ed!
