Nanyang Technological University (NTU) was established in 1981 and has almost
30,000 students. Nanyang is located approximately 15 miles from the city center of
Singapore. The Nanyang exchange is the only program where accountancy students can
have accountancy courses transfer. The NTU accounting courses use International
Financial Reporting Standards as opposed to the U.S. NTU is also open to nonaccountancy
majors, but those students cannot take accountancy courses at Nanyang.
Singapore is an island nation with 5 million people located between Malaysia and Indonesia. It
has a tropical rainforest climate. Singapore is a very interesting place to study business and has
an abundance of multinational firms. It is the 4th leading financial center in the world and has
the 4th highest GDP. English is one of the 4 official languages of Singapore.
Housing
Nanyang Technological University has fifteen residence halls.

(NTU)- Nanyang Business School (NBS) by February 15th to study abroad the following fall and
by September 15th to study abroad the following spring.
