the law firm of Mesch, Clark &
Rothschild, downtown Tucson
at 259 N. Meyer Avenue. A
commercial artist in Philadelphia
until the early 1980’s when
Vann became interested in
the role of African Americans
in opening and settling the
American West. He moved from
commercial to studio art and
began to concentrate on what
he calls “The Black Experience.”

PIANO STORY – A narrative concert
performed by Argentine pianist Mario
Merdirossian at Rogoway Gallery, 5
Calle Baca at 5:30pm. Merdirossian will
tell and play the captivating story of
the piano, from its invention over three
centuries ago until today. To illustrate the
progressive development he will perform
spellbinding short pieces by Scarlatti,
Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt,
Grieg, Debussy and other outstanding
classical composers. The free tickets
