Down syndrome

– Ages 3-4 years
– After T&A, only 43% with DS had normal AHI
– If AHI, hypoxemia and hypercarbia are all evaluated:
Only 29% had normal sleep study after T&A
• Shete et al. 2010:
– 11 patients with DS
– Mean age 8.4 years
– Only 18% had normal post-op AHI
