Boarding Update, 2011
Term Three, Week Two.
Dear Parents,
We have now settled back into the new school term. James
Li and Nova Forsyth-McEvedy have left us but Jessiah
Malik and Baylee Reriti have joined us. Bacardi the cat was
very pleased to have the boys back again as well.
On Sunday as a treat, the boarders who were in for the
weekend had breakfast at McDonalds. We went in the
school van with Mrs. Hill and Matron and I ate a Kiwi Big
breakfast and others had cheeseburgers and hot
chocolates or juice. After that we went back to school and I
cleaned the van inside and out and got 20 merit points. The
others played tag.

This week another new boy started as a weekly boarder.
He is Jake Lochore from Porangahau. He knows a few
boys and has settled in really well.
We now have another “Hereworth Green” leather lounge
suite and footrest, which we bought from Trademe. Five
boys can sit on it with a squeeze. We now have four leather
couches in the TV room and lots of bean bags—plenty of
seats for everyone now. Mr. Exeter has claimed back his
very comfortable couch which we had “on loan”.

This week 8GE is having their turn at the “boarding
experience” and tomorrow the choir boys leave for the
Wellington Choir trip. They have been busy packing today.
Mr. Exeter and some of the Year 8 boys started making the
new dorm names for the rest of the dorms. I do not know
what they are yet or which dorms will be given a name.
Tonight’s news written on behalf of the boarders by
Jackson.
