AACA Video Conferencing Facility
UIProjects was extremely innovative in overcoming design,
procurement, delivery, and installation obstacles presented by unique
systems built for the first time in Afghanistan. The design started in
May 2002, and the facility was inaugurated in September 2002.

$325,000 contract to
rehabilitate several buildings, and build new additions.
Military Academy Rehabilitation
This is over a $1,000,000 US Corps of
Engineers/ Contrack
International to rehabilitate
the dining facility and 6 other
buildings in Kabul Military
Training Facility.
USAID/LBG Kandahar Road Bridges
UIProjects designed the repair of 36
minor damaged bridges on the Kabul to
Kandahar Road. The work involves
surveying, soil, structural, and hydraulics
investigations & design.
Kabul Airport Runway
Rehabilitation
This AWCC/Scott Wilson Design and
Supervision $15 million rehabilitation
project is underway, with UIProjects
responsible for surveying, soil testing, asbuilts
and drainage design, as well providing local supervision staff.
Passengers Building – Kabul
Airport
This GTZ project involved the rehabilitation
of the customs and passenger facilities.
The design is focused on the arrival and
departure lounges, but involved a master
plan for the whole facility.
US Embassy Compound Project
UIProjects completed several consulting assignment under a Master
Agreement with Kellogg Brown and Root for the new $110 million US
Embassy Compound.
National Security Building, Presidential Palace
This Crown Agents project involves the architectural/civil design of
the rehabilitation of the existing building and the addition of an Annex.
ISAF Admin Building
This $600,000 GTZ project involved the
rehabilitation of 5,000 m 2 of office
space, complete with new
electromechanical systems.
ISAF Security Gate & Logistics Road
This $1,100,000 GTZ project involved the design and tender of a new
concrete pavement road network inside the ISAF Jallabad Rd Camp.
Presidential Palace & 5
Ministries Networks
UIProjects has successfully completed in
August 2002 a World Bank funded
broadband telephone and data network in
the Presidential Palace and five Ministries. .
IMF Data, Voice and Security System
This involved installing data, voice and security systems. The
network is connected to next door World Bank office VSAT system.
US Corps of Engineers Kabul Offices
This is a Contrack International project for the installation of electrical
wiring and A/C systems, and was completed in record time.
WB Compound Security System
This involves installing networked security system at 7 dispersed
World Bank properties in Wazir Akbar Khan, Kabul, Afghanistan.
ISAF Heliport Pad Project
This $1,200,000 GTZ project involved
the design of a new heliport at Kabul
Airport, complete with hanger
foundations, apron, and taxiway.
AWCC HO, Restaurant and Internet Cafe
Preliminary design and budget for this $700,000 project.
AWCC Operation Building
Design and supervision of this new AWCC Yakatoot
switching/operation building at Yakatoot, Kabul.
Ministry of Education Interior Design
UNICEF funded space planning and interior design project for the
renovated Ministry of Education head quarter in Kabul
