Outline<br />
The Series<strong>150</strong> <strong>SANSlide</strong> is a data centre appliance for accelerating storage<br />
protocols over WAN links. By using unique parallelisation techniques managed<br />
by Artificial Intelligence, it frees the user from the distance limitations<br />
and performance constraints that are normally associated with WANs.<br />

in a similar way to the Series 100, the Series <strong>150</strong> units are a fixed protocol device but support<br />
twin fail-over power supplies for those who wish a higher level of security.<br />
<strong>SANSlide</strong> <strong>150</strong><br />
Each Series <strong>150</strong> is designed to support up to 35 milliseconds of WAN latency, which is typically<br />
sufficient to span Europe or halfway across the USA. Each <strong>SANSlide</strong> <strong>150</strong> can connect to one other<br />
<strong>SANSlide</strong> node of any Series or interface type. The WAN connection supports link speeds up to<br />
1Gbe with a separate LAN port for configuring and managing the unit.<br />
The Series <strong>150</strong> <strong>SANSlide</strong> unit is available in two configurations: Fibre channel with two 8Gb short<br />
range, multimode LC connections or, iSCSI with two 1Gbe 10000BaseT RJ45 connections.<br />
