POWERSCAN is a fully automated optical in-line system. For the
continuous inspection of panels at all processing stages:
100%-in-line inspection of surface, coating, edge and shape at
one time.
Multiple-Batch and Multi-Position. Produce as flexible as you
want. POWERSCAN is able to inspect all shapes and sizes in
parallel – even at highest line-speeds.
Every single defected glass will be detected and can be rejected
immediately. Only qualified panels will reach higher manufacturing

Panel-based production processes frequently show a long-established pattern: the selective
off-line inspection. Best practice over decades, but – as we think – limited in terms
of total quality insurance.
Why Because we wouldn‘t be satisfied to discover product deficiencies through off-line
inspection after a lot was produced.

total quality.

Surface. Detects coloured marks from ink or chalk, scratches, stones, bubbles,
tin spots, or cracks
Coating. Investigates any anti-reflective, infra-red-reflective, mirror, display-contacts,
electrochromic hydrophil & hydrophob surface for deviations.
Edge. Inspects for broken, serrated or bevelled edges and corners, flake and V-notches
chips, shells, knurl marks, cullets.
Shape. Inspects any dimension of any panel and sheet
size to detect squareness, width and length,
changes in rectangularity or edge bow
and distortion.

Products and the naming of defects have to be taught – only once – and without any
expert know-how.
The system stores the characteristics of every single product – dimensions and defects –
numerical and visual. The stored data can be reviewed at any time.
Just a click and the quality grading for each batch arrangement is shown individually in
an easy and understandable way. And of course the grading can be validated.
And if you want to change your tolerances later on, just repeat the grading with new
parameters – your original inspection data will ever be available.
