Channel 8 Series Connectors 

Channel 8 series connectors provide an economical and reliable 

means of connecting copper or aluminium telephone 

conductors, PE or PVC insulated with no requirement to strip 

the insulation. The maximum diameter measured over the 

insulation is 2.06mm and the conductor range for all connectors 

is 0.4 to 0.9mm or 26 to 19AWG. 

The connectors have insulation displacement contacts manufactured 

from tin-plated copper alloy and polypropylene bodies 

that provide excellent insulation. The connectors are filled 

with high quality sealing jelly that ensures excellent insulation 

resistance and good electrical performance in the most 

extreme environmental conditions. Unfilled connectors are 

also available for internal applications. All connectors are 

crimped using standard parallel action pliers.

These ready access jointing closures offer total environmental 

protection of sensitive telephone equipment. Constructed of 

non-corrosive, high performance polyolefin material, the closures 

have a jointing capacity of up to 500 pairs on cables of up to 

56mm diameter.The resin-filled base can be used as an air block

Channel’s line of distribution fibre optic splice cases are 

designed to accommodate low and medium fibre counts of 

12-96 fibres. Both “butt” and “in-line” versions are available. 

Modular splice tray cassettes are provided with all required 

installation components as factory provisional kits. These 

fibre splice cases are re-enterable and modular, permitting 

future cables to be added as needed after initial installation.
