Gateway (WGE-M)
The Webdyngate Easy Modbus (WGE-M) gateway connects a Serial application to a local (Ethernet)
or remote (PSTN or GSM/GPRS) TCP/IP Network. This gateway includes all the functions defined
within the Modbus protocol including Serial Master/Slave and TCP/IP Client/Server. To secure the
network, a redundancy option can be added to the gateway.

The Webdyngate Easy and
a Modbus installation
Ideal for remote maintenance and local
control applications, the WGE-M gateway
allows to:
• Control a Modbus serial application
from the Modbus TCP/IP network
without any modification to the
equipment Slave or to the supervisor
Master.
• Benefit from the local or remote IP
network
infrastructure
(Internet/Intranet).
• Create a redundant network with data
switching to an emergency Modbus
TCP/IP server.
Embedded Web Server
Each Webdyngate has an embedded Web
server allowing easy access to the gateway
configuration (IP address, password). Since
100% of the application software is running on
the Webdyngate server, the client terminal
may be located anywhere as long as it
supports a standard Web browser.

For a Modbus Slave address, a Modbus TCP/IP client has two IP addresses:
normal address, emergency address. Automatic data switch towards the
available server.
