® T-A ® Insert Grades and Geometries Specific Application Geometries To further enhance the versatility of the Allied Maxcut T-A ® Drilling System, specific application geometries are available, which will further improve customer's productivity. These geometries are designed and produced to exacting standards in AMEC manufacturing plants in Dover, Ohio, USA. Specific application geometries are available in all substrate grades and coatings, with a delivery lead time of 5/6 weeks. Enhanced Chip Control High Impact - HI • For materials with hardness over 200 Bhn (700 Nmm2 ) • Enhances chip formation in materials with high elasticity/ductility and poor chip forming characteristics. • SK corner clip for improved tool life • Target materials, structural/cast and forged steels Availability: 5 - 6 weeks. All grades and coatings Ordering Code Example: 132T-35 HI High Rake - HR • For materials with hardness below 200 Bhn (700 Nmm2) • Improves chip formation in materials with very high elasticity/ductility, extremely poor chip forming characteristics, and low material hardness. • SK corner clip for improved tool life • Target material: Soft steels, steel castings and forgings Availability: 5 - 6 weeks. All grades and coatings Ordering Code Example: 132T-35 HR Improved Dimensional Accuracy Cam Point - CP • Helical cam ground point • Improved drill stability and centring characteristics • Reduction of bell mouthing when using longer holders • Improved hole finish when using longer holders • Target materials: Steels, cast/forged steels, cast iron Availability: 5 - 6 weeks.
