Functional dependency
We use upper cases of the beginning letters,
such as A,B, C, ..., to represent individual attribute,
and use upper cases of the letters near
the end of the alphabet with bars over them,
such as P, V , Z,... to represent a set of attributes.
We also use, e.g., ABCD to represent set of
attributes {A, B, C, D}; and use, e.g., XY Z to
represent the union of these sets, i.e., X ∪Y ∪Z.
