Sealed quotations are invited for the article mentioned overleaf subject to
the items and conditions given below:
The quotation should be addressed to the Stores and Purchase Officer,
National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology, P.O. Hatia, Ranchi-834 003
and should reach on or before:------ 21.09.2007
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF QUOTATION
1. Quotations without any erasures and overwriting must be submitted in
sealed cover addressed to S.P.O, NIFFT, P.O. Hatia, Ranchi-834 003
super- scribed Quotation No. and the due date failing which quotation may
be ignored.
2. The rate quoted should be inclusive of all packing, forwarding sales tax,
freight and insurances charges and should remains valid for our
acceptance for a minimum period of three months from the due date of
opening of the quotation,
3. Manufacturer’s name of company of origin of the materials offered must
be clearly specified. Complete details and illustrated literatures/or
drawings, if any, must accompany all quotations.
4. Samples duly sealed and labeled (indicating the quotation no. and the
date of opening must be submitted where specified so as to reach the
Institute before the due date of opening of the quotation.
5. All the materials supplied shall be subject to inspection at the registered
office of the Institute only. If the Institute finds that the materials supplied
are not of contract quality, or not according to the specifications (required

y the Institute) or, otherwise not satisfactory owing to any other reason,
of which this Institute shall be sole judge, the Institute shall be entitled to
reject the materials, cancel the contract and buy its requirement in the
open market against the supplier, reserving always to itself the right to
deduct the requisite amount of loss due to difference in rate from the
supplier, from their outstanding bills, if any, in case there is no outstanding
bill the name of such supplier will be blacklisted and the dues shall be
legally realized from them. In the event of such rejection/cancellation the
Institute will not entertain any correspondence from the supplier.
6. In case supply is rejected the supplier must take at his own cost the
same within 7 days from the receipt of the Institute notice intimating such
rejection failing which the Institute shall not be liable for any loss or
damage caused to the supply. In addition the Institute shall be at liberty to
charge ground rent for any such materials lying at the premises of the
Institute at the rate determined by it.
7. Quitters must as far as possible arrange to supply the materials
according to date of deliveries specified by us, If however this is not
possible they shall clearly specify the terms and date of delivery. If the
deliveries are not regular and if on that account this Institute is forced to
buy the materials from elsewhere, any loss or damage that the Institute
may sustain thereby will be recovered from the supplier.
8. The Institute will not entertain requests for revision in prices once
quoted for whatever reason after the tenders are opened during the period
of contract.
9. The Institute does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation or
assign any reasons for non-acceptance. If further reserves the right to
accept any quotation wholly or in part at its discretion, If also reserves to
itself the right to take 25% more or less of the materials on any order
placed against their enquiry.
10. Sales Tax where leviable and intended to be claimed from the Institute
should be distinctly shown along with the price quote ed. Where this is not
done no claim for sales tax will be admitted at the later stage and on any
ground whatsoever. The Institute shall not submit any letter of authority for
claiming exemption from sales tax and other statutory levies,
11. All goods must be delivered at our Institute at Hatia, Ranchi-834 003
for inspection by our inspecting authority.
12. All articles must be branded "NIFFT" free of charges.

13. Full payment will be made within 30 days of the receipt and
acceptance after inspection of supplies at destination, Quotations
containing different payment terms are liable to be ignored.
14. No. order is valid unless they are conveyed in our official printed
letterhead.
15. All goods must be delivered at our Institute at NIFFT, Hatia, (Stores &
Purchase Section) free of cost after confirmed order.
