More good news, bad news ........<br />
In <strong>the</strong> last issue, I talked about one of<br />
those bad news, good news stories in<br />
reference to <strong>the</strong> newsletter situation - having<br />
to go to a bi-monthly instead of monthly<br />
format, but now being in full color. This<br />
issue has ano<strong>the</strong>r good news, bad news story.<br />
The good news is, as you can see below,<br />
we have many, many new members. Lots of<br />
new members is always a good thing. The<br />
bad news is that <strong>the</strong>re are so many new<br />
members, <strong>the</strong>re is very little space for my<br />
column this time. I am sure that will upset<br />
all my avid and loyal readers ☺<br />
In all seriousness, we have more good<br />
news than just <strong>the</strong> amount of new<br />
Welcome New Members<br />
members. For a long time we have been<br />
unsuccessfully “courting” <strong>the</strong> independent<br />
shops to get <strong>the</strong>m to do tech sessions.<br />
Those use to be one of <strong>the</strong> staples of <strong>Tejas</strong><br />
<strong>Chapter</strong> events, but for some unknown<br />
reason <strong>the</strong> “independents” stopped<br />
supporting us with advertising and <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong><br />
tech sessions.<br />
Our next two events both involve tech<br />
sessions. First is an event by one of our new<br />
advertisers, EXPEL Technologies and <strong>the</strong>n<br />
Lee Rector, owner of Black Forest<br />
Werkshop, will be conducting an event in<br />
<strong>August</strong>.<br />
It is good to have <strong>the</strong>se<br />
“independents” participating again. I hope<br />
you will attend so we can show support<br />
for <strong>the</strong>m and nurture a long lost<br />
relationship.<br />
