<strong>Solar</strong> <strong>BoomBox</strong>!<br />

<strong>Template</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>BB40</strong> <strong>speakers</strong> <strong>using</strong> <strong>piece</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>cardboard</strong><br />

1. Attach the template to a <strong>piece</strong> <strong>of</strong> flat <strong>cardboard</strong> with pushpins. Poke holes around the circle <strong>using</strong> pins as a<br />

guide.<br />

2. Cut along outer lines <strong>of</strong> the template through the <strong>cardboard</strong>. Cut holes out. Score (cut halfway through the<br />

<strong>cardboard</strong>) appropriate lines.<br />

3. Boombox body is ready.<br />

4. Remove the existing wires from the <strong>speakers</strong> <strong>using</strong> a soldering iron.<br />

5. Glue the <strong>speakers</strong> in place. Try to keep glue from face <strong>of</strong> <strong>speakers</strong>.<br />

6. Cut the earbuds <strong>of</strong>f, then strip wire ~1” <strong>using</strong> the 22 awg slot on the wire strippers.<br />

7. Attached the ‘colored’ wire to the positive terminal on the speaker and the stranded wires to the negative.<br />

8. Connect to an ipod/mp3 player and test your <strong>speakers</strong>. Place finger on each speaker to feel the vibrations.<br />

9. Tie a knot in the wire AND tape to inside <strong>of</strong> box <strong>for</strong> strain relief, then fold up your box and secure with tape.<br />

Use Duct tape, electrical tape, or other <strong>for</strong> unique look. ENJOY your mini external <strong>speakers</strong>!!!<br />
