auCTion ruLes 1. all sales are final, and there will be no exchanges, refunds or extensions on items except where specified. Please respect all the restrictions set out by the item donors, and read all certificates, vouchers and corresponding materials carefully. 2. a “Guaranteed bid” placed before the silent auction or super silent auction closing time will end all bidding and guarantee the sale <strong>of</strong> that item to the premium bidder. a “Guaranteed bid” must be made before the closing <strong>of</strong> the respective auction. 3. winning bidders may pay for items at the Cashier’s desK (to open at 10:15 p.m.) in the Grand d ballroom on the second floor. Payment in full the evening <strong>of</strong> the auction is mandatory. Cash, check, masterCard, visa and american express will be accepted. all bids are in u.s. dollars. 4. no items will be released from iTem PiCK-uP without a “paid” receipt. a “paid” receipt will be given at the Cashier’s desK following payment in full. 5. should you be unable to take your items with you the evening <strong>of</strong> november 13, items will be available for pick-up from 9 – 11 a.m. on sunday, november 14, at the sheraton seattle in the Grand d ballroom on the second floor. aLL iTems musT be removed by 11 a.m. on sunday, november 14. 6. deliveries will be made on selected items on sunday, november 14, and monday, november 15. exact time <strong>of</strong> delivery cannot be promised. To arrange for delivery <strong>of</strong> these selected items, present your “paid” receipt at iTem PiCK-uP, and a volunteer will record your address and telephone number. 7. unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year <strong>of</strong> november 13, 2010. future donations depend upon strict observance <strong>of</strong> these restrictions. 8. NOTE: For tax purposes, the value <strong>of</strong> a <strong>Breath</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Life</strong> <strong>Gala</strong> ticket, including meal and beverages, is estimated to be $200 per person. The Patrons <strong>of</strong> <strong>Cystic</strong> <strong>Fibrosis</strong> urges all attendees, donors and contributors to refer to their tax consultants or attorneys concerning the tax deductibility <strong>of</strong> gifts to the event.
