Henry arrived in Sydney with Gov. Lachland Macquarie 150 Cent. Ed. - "A tale<br />

He was in the 73rd Regiment. (known as 'the Major')<br />

1810, Jan. 1: Henry was Aide-de-Camp to Gov. Lachland<br />

Macquarie (Gov. of the Colony of NSW from 1810-21).<br />

"Jarvisfield" was granted to Henry, the "original<br />

Antill" by Gov. L. Macquarie.<br />

1852: after a full life Henry died at Javisfield.<br />

The Antill <strong>Family</strong> Mauseleum at Picton is "Vault Hill".<br />

Legend has it that the Antill's were buried upright.<br />

His sons's were educated at 'The Kings School' at Parramatta.<br />

One son was evidently 'wayward', for he turned Bushranger<br />

(robber - highwayman). Eventually he was sentenced<br />

to 15 years hard labor, with the first year<br />

to be served in irons (leg-irons).<br />
