EMIS Inc.’s PCS is made up of a number of fully
comprehensive integrated modules. Information
is quick and easy to access – you can move
seamlessly from one module to another using
either the mouse or the keyboard. EMIS PCS
will ensure that data is only ever entered once
and then populated throughout the system,
making sure data is in the right place to keep
your system accurate and concise.

EMIS has been delivering solutions to both GP
and Specialist offices in Alberta since 2006 and
has been installing systems throughout British
Columbia as an approved vendor of the PITO
program.
Practice management and patient services
Automated products – our Automated Arrivals Kiosk, with the latest LCD technology, allows patients to indicate
their arrival at the clinic for their appointment. The kiosk also allows the clinic to collect new patient data during
the check-in process.
The EMIS Partner Program – a continually growing list of suppliers offering clinical software and devices that
integrate with EMIS PCS.
COMING SOON: iPatient – patients can view, book and cancel appointments online, as well as securely view a
summary of their medical record, whether in Canada or abroad.

Key modules
Appointments – with colour coded display,
fast patient search and flexible filtering,
receptionists are able to locate and book
appointments very quickly.
Medical records – provides a clear snapshot
view of each patient record. It is logically
structured to allow you to take in all of the
patient’s medical history quickly and
easily during consultations.
Consultation mode – enables fast and
easy recording of each consultation and
allows you to fully concentrate on the
patient during the consultation.
Templates – cut down on data entry time,
allowing more time for discussion with the
patient, as well as capture the pertinent
data required to manage your patients.
Templates are user defined and can be
built for CDM, Complete Physicals, etc.
Prescribing – PCS uses the EMIS drug
explorer, which provides a source of
information on the Canadian drug products
currently available to allow for fast and
easy prescribing. Drug formulary management
is highly configurable to reflect physician
prescribing habits while intelligent prescribing
provides safeguards against potential
interactions.
Billing – a fully integrated billing module
enables physicians to maximize their
billings inside and outside the clinic.
Microsoft Word integration – practices can
easily create referral notes and letters for
patients, or mail merges for the entire
patient population.
Advanced decision support – direct links
to decision support during consultations
offers you fast and easy access to the
right information, when you need it most.
Search and audit – searches and reports
can be created that present data in a
format that is easy to interpret. They can
be used to simplify recall schedules and
the management of preventative care, as
well as for chronic disease management.
