This course is designed to highlight some of
the treatment modalities utilized in advanced
wound healing. Speakers include Dr. Burke
Cunha, Chief of the Division of Infectious
Disease at Winthrop-University Hospital and
Dr. Thomas Davenport of LIPSG, as seen on
The Discovery Channel, both members of the
Winthrop wound care team.
OBJECTIVES:
After attending the symposium, you'll be able to:

science of wound healing to your practice
or role in preventing and managing wounds.
• Discuss current clinical practice, emerging
technologies, how to integrate cutting-edge
treatments, and research breakthroughs in
wound care.

maintain and grow relationships.

physicians, nurses and other providers of wound
care services. The conference will be followed
by a cocktail hour during which you may ask
the speakers questions or just enjoy the facility.
Winthrop-University Hospital is accredited
by the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education to sponsor continuing
medical education for physicians. This
Symposium is an approved Continuing Medical
Education activity. 6.5 CME’s will be provided
to Physicians and PAs and 6.5 CEU’s will be
offered to Nurse, PT and Dietary participants.
Physicians may claim a maximum of 6.5 credit
hours in Category I credit towards the AMA
Physicians' Recognition Award. Each physician
should claim only those hours of credit that
he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
